Manuscripts should present novel preclinical findings addressing questions of agriculture & veterinary sciences, biological significance to human disease. Studies that fail to do so may be rejected without review. Quantitative conclusions must be based on truly quantitative methods. Life Sciences does not publish work on the actions of biological extracts of the unknown chemical composition. Compounds studied must be of known chemical structure and concentration. The study must be reproducible; materials used must be available to other researchers so they can repeat the experiment. Clinical studies may be considered if they expand understanding of mechanism, but the journal does not encourage clinical trial reports.

Current Issue
At IJLS we refer to an online first as an article that has been through the peer-review process, has been accepted for publication and has been copyedited and typeset. The article is the final manuscript format, but is distinguished as an early release simply because it has not been delayed until a full issue publication. When the issue is complete, and an editorial is written, the issue will be archived with its own table of contents. Articles in the journal are freely available to the public thanks to our institutional sponsors.
