IJHS is published in English and it is open to authors around the world regardless of the nationality. It is currently published three times a year, i.e. in April, August, and December. International Journal of Health Sciences is a forum for scholarly and state-of-the-art research into all aspects of health sciences education. It will publish empirical studies as well as discussions of theoretical issues and practical implications. The primary focus of the Journal is linking theory to practice, thus priority will be given to papers that have a sound theoretical basis and strong methodology.

At IJHS we refer to an online first as an article that has been through the peer-review process, has been accepted for publication and has been copyedited and typeset. The article is the final manuscript format, but is distinguished as an early release simply because it has not been delayed until a full issue publication. When the issue is complete, and an editorial is written, the issue will be archived with its own table of contents. Articles in the journal are freely available to the public thanks to our institutional sponsors.
