Hernioplasty technique in wound complications prevention

Background: The issues of prevention of wound complications in the surgical treatment of postoperative ventral hernias (POVG) remain relevant due to the increase in the number of surgical interventions on the abdominal organs and the development of postoperative ventral hernias in the aftermath. Despite the large number of proposed hernioplasty techniques for postoperative ventral hernias, the rates of wound complications remain high. The use of synthetic materials did not provide a reduction in the amount of infection in the area of surgical intervention. In this connection, the improvement of surgical treatment of patients with postoperative ventral hernias, aimed at the prevention of wound complications, is becoming even more relevant. Wound complications prevention in the surgical treatment of postoperative ventral hernias remains relevant due to the increase in the number of operative abdominal interventions. Therefore, improving surgical rehabilitation of patients in the postoperative period in order to minimize wound complications acquires special practical importance.
