Abstract

Hence, in the present study, the leaves of Boswellia serrata Roxb. have been selected for phytochemical investigation, anti-inflammatory activity in rats. Flavonoids are a group of polyphenolic compounds, which exhibit several biological effects such as anti-inflammatory, anti-hepatotoxic and anti-ulcer. The result will also supports the treatment of inflammation related disease traditionally. We will observed the best Aqueous extract of leaves of Boswellia serrata, who possess good anti-inflammatory activity against carageenan induced paw edema. Our body has an effective defense system against free radical induced damage. On treating with the aqueous extract, LPO, GSH, SOD, CAT, GPx and Na+ /K+ATPase levels were increased.
